- **[The Magic and Paths update](https://riventale.world/updates/v0-7/):** Version 0.7 · October 2026. Four spells, Rimeshard, Cinderbolt, Stonewake and Squall, cast from a Dawnstone Focus for Ether; the spell book and spell levels; two earned spell trails; the Vael Lens Lectern, which enhances weapons, tools, armour and spells; four callings, each with a first kit and an outfit; and a pause menu with Invite friends and Leave world.
- **[The Hearth and Harbour update](https://riventale.world/updates/v0-6/):** Version 0.6 · October 2026. The Hearth Pot and eleven dishes, learned by cooking or from Recipe Scraps; fishing, with a catch table, night fish and three trophy hats; buckets for water, lava, oil and acid, and milk that clears every effect; the Live Heart; Fishing Cutter wrecks and Vael Reliquaries; and a new title menu: Continue, Your Realm, The Riven Lands and Looks.
- **[The Bows and Keepers update](https://riventale.world/updates/v0-5/):** Version 0.5 · October 2026. The Recurve Bow, the crossbow and four elemental arrows; daggers and the backstab; the Draw button on touch screens; every Keeper rebuilt in its true shape; and the Elemental Core’s last shape, the Crowned Wyrm, with its ending, the Riven Circlet and the title Champion.
- **[The Sun Shield update](https://riventale.world/updates/v0-4/):** Version 0.4 · October 2026. Seventeen effects with names of their own, the Sun Shield, food effects, Nightsight and three Wards; your character outlined, shaded and blinking; sparks for the big moments, and auras earned from the Keepers; banners in ten colours.

Friends with friend codes, Your Realm, open gates and private worlds, the Songstone, Keeper’s Marks and the shop, the Journal, the compass ribbon and danger hints, touch controls you can arrange, and fixes.

- The opening scene told again, with weight: new narration, and no talk beeps under it.

### The Wardrobe update · October 2026

Version 0.2

- The new Wardrobe: faces, hair, clothes, gear and three saved outfits.
- Bosses rise in short scenes the first time you meet them, and again when they turn to their second forms (single player; Settings > Video > Boss cinematics).
- Painted textures for every block, with variants, and animated lava, magma, gems and crystals.
- 12 new tracks, with short gaps between them.
- Online worlds hold up to 40 players. The first Play Online plays the opening scene first; online, the pause menu says Leave world.
