Rules
The Riven Lands are shared by everyone who walks them, younger players among them. These rules hold in every online world: every copy of the Riven Lands and private worlds.
Respect
Treat every player as a fellow traveller. Disagree without insults, and leave alone anyone who asks you to.
No harassment or hate
No bullying, no threats, and no slurs about race, religion, sex, sexuality, gender, disability or where someone is from. The chat hides slurs; getting around it breaks this rule too.
No griefing in the Riven Lands
Leave what others build standing: no breaking, burning, flooding or taking it. No trapping or killing players who don’t want the fight. A Claim Stone’s edge is not an invitation.
No cheating or exploits
No hacked clients, bots or macros that play for you, and no bugs used for gain. Found a bug? Send it through the contact page.
No personal information
Never share your real name, address, school, phone number, email or photos, or anyone else’s, and never ask for them. The chat stops emails, phone numbers, addresses and links.
No scams or impersonating staff
No fake giveaways, no trades you don’t keep, no links to other sites. Nobody from Riventale will ever ask for your sign-in code. Pretending to be staff is a ban.
Reporting a player
Click or tap the flag over their head, or beside their name in Friends, and pick a reason. Moderators see their recent chat and where they were. If you feel unsafe, leave the world and tell a parent or an adult you trust.
If someone is in danger or being hurt, report with Safety: it reaches us first.
What happens
- Mute: you play on, but can’t chat, for minutes or days.
- Kick: you are sent out of the world, and may come back.
- Ban: you can’t join online worlds until the date shown, or ever. Your own worlds stay yours.
- Network: a ban can also cover the network you play from, for up to 30 days.
Appeals
Think a mute or ban was wrong? Write through the contact page with your player name and the date. Every appeal is read.
