Sound captionsEvery sound named on screen, with an arrow toward it. Settings, Sound.
- Brushes raise, lower, smooth, flatten and paint the land.
- Keep a build as a blueprint, and raise it again in any world of yours.
- In your private world, /builders add lets a friend build with the Lens.
- Gates and trapdoors, of oak and of iron, open by hand. Panes and bars join into windows.
- Every jump rises as high, whatever your frame rate.
- A Rivenmaw’s bite leaves Stonegrip. A torch keeps it off.
- By day a Slagcaster’s slag cracks and burns away. The Waned glow faintly where they frayed.
- The Shard-Halo Archer’s arrows follow the difficulty now: lighter on Easy, heavier on Hard.
- Back on a phone closes the window that is open, not the game. Esc closes only the one on top.
- Gift a friend 30 days of the Supporter Pass, from Friends or the Pass tab.
The Builder’s Lens
In creative, in your own worlds, press I (on a phone, the lens button). Mark a box with two corners, then Fill, Replace, Hollow, raise its Walls or Clear it. Copy or Cut it and set it down again as a ghost, turned and mirrored. Undo and Redo step through your last forty operations. Brushes raise, lower, smooth, flatten and paint the land, and Blueprints keep a build by name for any world of yours.
In a private world on our server its keeper builds with the Lens, and so do the players the keeper adds with /builders add. Chests, display shelves and the world’s shrines are never touched.
Every tool: How to play.
Fences, walls and gates
An Oak Fence and its Gate, a Wall of every building stone that has slabs, Trapdoors of oak and iron, Glass Panes, Iron Bars and Scaffolding. Fences, walls and a shut gate stand a block and a half high to anything walking into them: no jump clears them, and creatures never try. Panes and bars join into windows; scaffolding is climbed with jump and left with sneak.
Recipes and more: How to play.
A hall of your own
Signs stand on a post or hang on a wall, carved with four short lines. A display shelf holds three things on show. Chairs of oak, birch, pine and jungle wood seat you; tables of the same woods join into one long top. Carpets lie thin on the floor in every wool colour.
How to furnish: How to play.
New hunters in the dark
The Rivenmaw is rivenrock woken by the Crystal’s light: a long, eyeless climber that coils before it springs, and whose bite leaves Stonegrip. A torch keeps it off. The Slagcaster is a spark of Fire burned into a body of slag, and throws its own slag from afar; by day its slag cracks and burns away. The Waned are travellers caught mid-crossing when the Wanestones failed: they walk on in their cloaks, the Dustwaned on the desert roads and the Rimewaned on the snow.
Every creature: the creatures guide.
The Breaking Tide
Wound the Rime Sovereign to half and the water it was bound from breaks through the frost: a wave of ice curls over its head, and the fight turns.
How to beat it: the Rime Sovereign.
Creative worlds
On our server, choose Creative as you make a world. Its keeper, and the players the keeper adds, build there in creative mode with the Builder’s Lens; everyone else plays survival. Nothing earned in a Creative world counts anywhere else, and it stays Creative for good.
Sound captions
Turn on Captions in Settings, Sound: every sound you hear gets a line at the side of the screen, named in the world’s own words, with an arrow toward it.
Earlier versions: all updates.
